Day One Vibes

Falfurrias was not a desirable destination in middle February where the town is USUALLY, at this point, gearing up to embrace the change of season from WINTER to SPRING. Baseball, Blue Bonnets, and Warm Summer like Days were all but put on hold Monday, FEB 15 as Falfurrias, TX residents experienced a SHARP, HISTORIC, WINTER STORM.

Citizens seem disgruntled as it seems their local GOVERNMENT was ill prepared for the FREEZE and LEFT 100's WITHOUT POWER AND WATER for EXTENDED PERIODS with little to NO updates on pending situations. Although The "Electric Reliability Council of Texas" (ERCOT) was fairly ACTIVE on TWITTER they too did not seem to have ANY information or explanation as to why many TEXANS were left without power.

Now, with 100's facing NO POWER and EXTREMELY HARSH temperatures, Brooks County residents are also left to fight the UPHILL battle of NO WATER. ALL residents of Falfurrias were also placed on a WATER BOIL and ADVISED NOT to DRINK the water (if any) coming through their pipes.

As TEMPERATURES WERE DROPPING and ROADS BECOMING ICY, many citizens began to scramble in desperation for warm shelter and DRINKABLE water (who could blame them?). Large amounts of people began to FLOOD the nearest market or convenience store making for almost absolute CHAOS. Falfurrias local H-E-B was LEFT NEARLY EMPTY as people packed into the market to frantically buy NECESSITIES.

AEP Texas began working to restore power to Texas residents over the course of 3 DAYS. With MANY people STILL awaiting ANSWERS and EXPLANATIONS ERCOT has seemed to fall short.

It's become QUITE APPARENT we are facing a CENSORSHIP PROBLEM in AMERICA. YES, i said.. IN AMERICA.

Local RAP STAR "Reno Bizz" posted to his Facebook on FEB 24th, saying he LOST HIS YOUTUBE ACCOUNT that had AMASSED OVER A THOUSAND SUBSCRIBERS. Unhappy with the FACT, the RAP STAR went on a RANT claiming a MOB of fans turned haters MASS FLAGGED his account in an opportunity to EXPLOIT YOUTUBES POLICIES and get the WELL ESTABLISHED youtube page BANNED AND REMOVED. The details are still yet to surface in the artists case as he has since APPEALED the BAN to youtube itself and is awaiting ANSWERS on the case. Unlikely to receive ANY CLOSURE on the matter, the LOCAL RAP STAR is left looking at an UPHILL EFFORT to retrieve his page or be FORCED to start over FROM SCRATCH.

In a SHOW OF SUPPORT, fellow RECORDING ARTIST "D.I.G" had a few words AGAINST the BIG TECH COMPANIES, as he LOUDLY ADVOCATED for his fellow townsmen and women, or anyone who will listen, to TRANSITION their SEARCH ENGINES from (YOUTUBE PARTNER) GOOGLE to UP and COMING NEW APP/SEARCH ENGINE DuckDuckGo.

In a series of posts on Facebook; T.R.U.E. RECORDS Recording artist "D.I.G" RAILS BACK against ONLINE BIG TECH company GOOGLE, and advocates for fellow AMERICANS to transition to ALTERNATIVE COMPETING PLATFORM "DuckDuckGo". The STAR recording artist also mentioned he will be MOVING OFF of "established platforms" Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and Google; ALL BY 2023. Mentioned in the series of Facebook posts "D.I.G" did name RAPID GROWING ALTERNATIVE PLATFORMS such as (prior mentioned) DuckDuckGo, Gab.com, Parler.com, and Rumble. In an ERA of Government intrusion and oversight, the underground artist seems to have picked a side, and it doesn't seem to be "PRO ESTABLISHMENT". Can D.I.G start a movement to CANCEL "Big Brother" Big tech and their apparent MALFESENCE on the american public? It is TIME NOW for our LEADERS to take a STAND. Big or Small.

With a host of NEW business ideas being discussed, idealized, or actually put into motion, it looks as if The small SOUTH TEXAS town faces an interesting crossroads. Continue to remain comfortable or STAND UP AND #BUILDYOUROWN.

LUCKY CREATIONS. A SELF MADE online boutique OUT OF SOUTH TEXAS that creates BEAUTIFUL, CUSTOM ACCESSORIES. It all started with an idea to sell "freshie" scent car fresheners and NOW THEY ARE STARING DOWN 1,000 FOLLOWERS on their Facebook page in a matter of MONTHS. In a town that OFTEN lacks motivation or inspiration, SMALL CITY LEADERS are beginning to spring up in ALL WAYS, in EVERY AREA. Falfurrias Texas COULD BE on the VERGE of an IDEOLOGICAL RENAISSANCE and with NEW IDEAS being put into action EVERY DAY NOW, It may be CLOSER THAN YOU THINK.

It's NO SECRET there is an INFLUX of "Do It Yourself" in the current generation of FALFURRIAS TX. Whether it be Business, Music, Video Games, Streaming, Art, or Politics. It seems NOBODY wants to WAIT AROUND anymore. Every day, at this point, a NEW idea is thrown out into REALITY.

The NEWEST TREND and BUSINESS to sprout from the SMALL CITY cement of Falfurrias, Tx, is that of Mr. David Carvajal, in "Coastal Cards Game Shop". Where else would you find your FULLY CUSTOM MADE CARD DECKS?? Mr. Coastal Cards, you could say was built off of a whim or even an influence, from that of the #BuildYourOwn MOVEMENT that is RELENTLESSLY GRIPPING the South Texas city.

What is the #BuildYourOwn Movement? Some would say its a MENTALITY, some say its a KNOWELEDGE or AWARENESS that your IDEAS ARE ABLE to be MANIFESTED into a REALITY. Either way you slice it, the movement has BECOME a "Chain" for a community who's FOCUS was WORK and ESTABLISH a homestead for their FAMILY.

Although it is, HATS OFF COMPLETELY to the generations who have BLESSED its CHILDREN with OPPORTUNITY and the COMFORT to ACHIEVE ANY POSSIBILITY.

The SMALL TOWN music group CONTINUES to DEFY the ODDS of coming from a NON INNOVATIVE area, and worse than that, an area where the YOUTH is raised into an mindset of UNWILLING to expand. With NO LEADERS turning back, or returning HOME to SHARE GENERATIONAL KNOWELEDGE, EXPERIENCE, or BUSINESS IDEAS, the label of recording artists have decided to take it upon themselves to TAKE ACTION and LEAD BY EXAMPLE.

Now while a lot is to be made about a small town group of RAP/HIP HOP artists at first glance, there is MORE to be MADE about a CREATIVE COLLECTIVE of BUSINESSMEN, HUSTLERS, ARTISTS, and OWNERS.

T.R.U.E. RECORDS has the POTENTIAL to BOOM or BUST in ANY AVENUE they pursue, they are certainly talented enough to do so, but WHAT THEY CAN DO with that said POTENTIAL lies in the hands and hearts of the individual artists. The T.R.U.E. team is made up of ARTISTS MERKULATION, TONE GEE, RY-LO, CHACH W/ THE HEAT, JB and D.I.G (aka Designed Individually Gifted) and each artist has INDEED had to SHOULDER the LOAD respectively along the JOURNEY, to this point.

Starting with a series of BEDROOM FREESTYLE SESSIONS, and RECORDING with a radio shack USB microphone on a 7 YEAR OLD LAPTOP, to 5 YEARS LATER a BUSINESS, A CATALOGUE of WELL OVER 200 SONGS, multiple PUBLISHED ON STREAMING PLATFORMS and N:0W a WEBSITE DOMAIN OF THEIR OWN. The T.R.U.E. RECORDS MACHINE doesn't seem to have any hitch in its gears as they look to PICK UP THE PACE and FURTHER INFLUENCE and INSPIRE THE YOUTH of THEIR CITY along with ANY CITIZEN WHO is WILLING to WATCH, PREPARE, LISTEN and ACT accordingly with the movement.

However it NEEDS TO GET DONE, Whatever NEEDS TO BE DONE, the ensemble seems WILLING and ABLE to MEET the CHALLENGE.
